Jeremiah 17:19-27
19Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i: “Dos i sefyll wrth Giât y Bobl ble mae brenhinoedd Jwda yn mynd i mewn ac allan o'r ddinas. Yna dos at giatiau eraill y ddinas. 20Dywed wrth y bobl yno: ‘Frenhinoedd Jwda, pobl Jwda, a phawb sy'n byw yn Jerwsalem; pawb sy'n dod trwy'r giatiau yma, gwrandwch ar neges yr Arglwydd. 21Gwyliwch am eich bywydau eich bod chi ddim yn cario pethau i'w gwerthu drwy giatiau Jerwsalem ar y Saboth. 22Peidiwch cario dim allan o'ch tai chwaith, a mynd i weithio ar y Saboth. Dw i eisiau i'r Saboth fod yn ddiwrnod sbesial, fel y dwedais i wrth eich hynafiaid. 23Ond wnaethon nhw ddim gwrando na chymryd unrhyw sylw. Roedden nhw'n hollol benstiff, ac yn gwrthod dysgu gwers.’ 24“‘Ond os gwnewch chi wrando arna i,’ meddai'r Arglwydd, ‘(peidio cario pethau i'w gwerthu drwy giatiau Jerwsalem ar Saboth, cadw'r Saboth yn ddiwrnod sbesial, a pheidio gweithio ar y diwrnod hwnnw), 25bydd brenhinoedd, disgynyddion Dafydd, yn dal i ddod drwy'r giatiau yma yn eu cerbydau ac ar geffylau. Bydd eu swyddogion yn dod gyda nhw, a phobl Jwda a Jerwsalem hefyd. Bydd pobl yn byw yn y ddinas yma am byth. 26Bydd pobl yn dod yma o drefi Jwda a'r ardal o gwmpas Jerwsalem, o dir llwyth Benjamin, o'r iseldir yn y gorllewin, o'r bryniau ac o'r Negef yn y de. Byddan nhw'n dod i deml yr Arglwydd gydag offrymau i'w llosgi ac aberthau, offrymau o rawn ac arogldarth, ac offrymau diolch. 27Ond rhaid i chi wrando arna i, a chadw'r Saboth yn ddiwrnod sbesial, a pheidio cario pethau i'w gwerthu drwy giatiau Jerwsalem ar y Saboth. Os wnewch chi ddim gwrando bydda i'n rhoi giatiau Jerwsalem ar dân. Fydd y tân ddim yn diffodd, a bydd plastai Jerwsalem i gyd yn cael eu llosgi'n ulw.’” Ezekiel 20:12-24

Wnaethon nhw ddim cadw fy rheolau na byw fel ron i eisiau. (Byddai'r rhai sy'n gwneud y pethau yna wedi cael byw go iawn!) A dyma nhw'n diystyru'r dyddiau Saboth yn llwyr hefyd. Ro'n i'n bygwth tywallt fy llid arnyn nhw yn y fan a'r lle; eu dinistrio nhw'n llwyr yn yr anialwch! 14Ond wnes i ddim. Doeddwn i ddim eisiau i fy enw da gael ei sarhau gan y bobl oedd wedi fy ngweld i'n dod â nhw allan o'r Aifft. 15Ond dyma fi'n tyngu ar lw yn yr anialwch, a dweud na fyddwn i'n eu harwain nhw i'r wlad oedd gen i ar eu cyfer nhw – tir lle roedd llaeth a mêl yn llifo! Y wlad harddaf o'r cwbl i gyd! 16Roedden nhw wedi gwrthod cadw fy rheolau, wedi gwrthod byw fel ron i eisiau, ac wedi diystyru'r dyddiau Saboth rois i iddyn nhw. Pam? Am fod eu calonnau'n dal i ddilyn yr eilunod! 17Ac eto, bod yn garedig atyn nhw wnes i. Wnes i ddim eu dinistrio nhw'n llwyr yn yr anialwch. 18“‘Dyma fi'n dweud wrth eu plant yn yr anialwch: “Peidiwch byw yr un fath â'ch rhieni. Peidiwch dilyn eu ffyrdd nhw, a llygru eich hunain yn addoli eu heilun-dduwiau. 19Fi ydy'r Arglwydd, eich Duw chi. Dw i eisiau i chi fyw fel dw i'n dweud a chadw fy rheolau i. 20A dw i eisiau i chi gadw'r dyddiau Saboth yn sbesial, i'ch atgoffa chi o'r berthynas sydd rhyngon ni. Byddwch chi'n gwybod wedyn mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd eich Duw chi.” 21“‘Ond dyma'r plant yn gwrthryfela yn fy erbyn i hefyd. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
