Lời Chào Thăm của Phi-e-rơ
1Đây là thư của Phi-e-rơ, sứ đồ của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Kính gửi các tín hữu sống tản lạc tại các tỉnh Bông-ty, Ga-la-ti, Cáp-ba-đốc, Tiểu Á, và Bi-thi-ni. 2Từ trước vô cùng, Đức Chúa Trời, Cha chúng ta, đã chọn anh chị em làm con cái Ngài. Chúa Thánh Linh tác động trong lòng anh chị em, tẩy sạch và thánh hóa anh chị em bằng máu Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu để anh chị em sống vui lòng Ngài. Cầu Đức Chúa Trời ban ơn phước dồi dào trên anh chị em và cho tâm hồn anh chị em được bình an, không chút lo âu sợ hãi.Hy Vọng Sống Động
3Tôn vinh Đức Chúa Trời, Cha của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu, Chúa chúng ta. Bởi lòng nhân từ vô biên, Đức Chúa Trời đã cho chúng ta được tái sinh để làm con cái Ngài. Do đó, niềm hy vọng của chúng ta đầy sức sống vì Chúa Cứu Thế đã từ cõi chết sống lại. 4Đức Chúa Trời đã dành sẵn cho con cái Ngài một cơ nghiệp vô giá trên trời, không gì có thể làm ô nhiễm, biến chất hay mục nát được. 5Đức Chúa Trời sẽ dùng quyền năng Ngài bảo vệ anh chị em cho tới khi anh chị em nhận cơ nghiệp đó, vì anh chị em đã tin cậy Ngài. Đến ngày cuối cùng, anh chị em sẽ được “cơ nghiệp cứu rỗi” trước mắt mọi người. 6Vậy, hãy vui mừng lên! Vì cuối cùng anh chị em sẽ được hạnh phúc vô biên, dù hiện nay phải chịu đau buồn, thử thách ít lâu. 7Mục đích của những thử thách đó là tôi luyện niềm tin anh chị em cho vững bền, tinh khiết, cũng như lửa thử nghiệm và tinh luyện vàng. Đối với Đức Chúa Trời, đức tin anh chị em còn quý hơn vàng ròng; nếu đức tin anh chị em giữ nguyên tính chất thuần khiết qua cơn thử lửa, anh chị em sẽ được khen ngợi, tuyên dương và hưởng vinh dự khi Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu trở lại. 8Anh chị em yêu thương Chúa mặc dù chưa hề thấy Ngài. Hiện nay tuy chưa thấy Chúa, nhưng anh chị em tin cậy Ngài nên lòng hân hoan một niềm vui rạng ngời khó tả. 9Nhờ niềm tin ấy, anh chị em được cứu rỗi linh hồn mình. 10Các nhà tiên tri ngày xưa khi viết về công cuộc cứu rỗi, đã tìm tòi, suy xét rất kỹ. 11Thánh Linh Chúa Cứu Thế trong lòng họ đã bảo họ viết trước những việc tương lai, như sự khổ nạn, hy sinh, và sống lại vinh quang của Chúa Cứu Thế. Trong khi viết, họ tự hỏi những việc đó bao giờ xảy ra và xảy ra trong hoàn cảnh nào. 12Cuối cùng họ được biết rằng những việc đó không xảy ra vào thời đại họ, nhưng mãi đến thời anh chị em mới hiện thực. 13Bởi vậy, anh chị em hãy cảnh giác, giữ tâm trí minh mẫn, tập trung hy vọng đợi chờ ơn phước Đức Chúa Trời dành cho anh chị em khi Chúa Cứu Thế trở lại. 14Đã là con cái Đức Chúa Trời, anh chị em hãy vâng phục Ngài, đừng buông mình theo những dục vọng tội lỗi như lúc chưa biết Chúa. 15Đấng cứu rỗi anh chị em rất thánh thiện, nên anh chị em hãy ăn ở thánh thiện như Ngài. 16Chính Ngài đã dạy: “Các con phải thánh, vì Ta là thánh.” ▼ 17Khi cầu khẩn Cha trên trời, anh chị em nên nhớ Ngài không bao giờ thiên vị. Ngài sẽ lấy công lý tuyệt đối xét xử anh chị em đúng theo hành động của mỗi người, nên hãy kính sợ Ngài suốt đời. 18Anh chị em đã biết rõ, Đức Chúa Trời đã trả giá rất cao để cứu chuộc anh chị em khỏi nếp sống lầm lạc của tổ tiên. Không phải trả giá bằng bạc vàng dễ mất, mau hư 19nhưng bằng máu quý báu của Chúa Cứu Thế, Chiên Con vô tội không tỳ vết của Đức Chúa Trời. 20Trước khi sáng tạo vũ trụ, Đức Chúa Trời đã dành sẵn Con Ngài cho mục đích ấy; nhưng đến thời chúng ta, Chúa Giê-xu mới xuất hiện để thực thi chương trình cứu rỗi anh chị em. 21Nhờ Chúa, anh chị em tin Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng đã khiến Ngài sống lại và tôn vinh Ngài. Bởi đó, anh chị em có thể đặt niềm tin, hy vọng hoàn toàn vào Đức Chúa Trời. 22Một khi tin cậy Chúa, tâm hồn anh chị em đã được tẩy sạch những ganh ghét, hận thù rồi đầy tràn tình yêu, nên anh chị em hãy hết lòng yêu thương nhau. 23Anh chị em đã được tái sinh không phải bởi sự sống dễ hư hoại, nhưng do Lời Sống bất diệt của Đức Chúa Trời. 24Như Thánh Kinh có chép:“Mọi xác thịt giống như cỏ;
thể xác chúng ta rồi sẽ tàn tạ như cỏ hoa đồng nội.
Danh lợi đời này sẽ héo rụng như đoá phù dung.
25Nhưng lời của Chúa tồn tại muôn đời.” ▼ Và lời đó chính là Phúc Âm được truyền giảng cho anh chị em.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
