Chúa Giê-xu Rửa Chân cho Các Môn Đệ của Ngài
1Đêm trước lễ Vượt Qua, Chúa Giê-xu biết sắp đến giờ Ngài rời thế gian để về với Cha của Ngài. Chúa yêu thương các môn đệ của mình trong thời gian Ngài thi hành chức vụ trên đất, và Chúa vẫn yêu họ cho đến cuối cùng. 2Trong giờ ăn tối, quỷ vương thúc đẩy Giu-đa Ích-ca-ri-ốt, con Si-môn, phản Chúa Giê-xu. 3Chúa Giê-xu biết rõ Chúa Cha đã trao mọi quyền hành cho Ngài và Ngài từ Đức Chúa Trời đến, nay sắp trở về với Đức Chúa Trời. 4Vì thế, Chúa đứng dậy, ra khỏi bàn ăn, cởi áo ngoài, lấy khăn quấn ngang lưng, 5và đổ nước vào chậu. Chúa lần lượt rửa chân cho các môn đệ, rồi Ngài dùng khăn quấn ngang lưng mà lau cho họ. 6Khi Chúa Giê-xu đến bên Si-môn Phi-e-rơ, Phi-e-rơ hỏi Ngài: “Thưa Chúa, sao Chúa lại rửa chân cho con?” 7Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Bây giờ con chưa hiểu được việc Ta làm, nhưng sau này con sẽ hiểu.” 8Phi-e-rơ thưa: “Con chẳng dám để Chúa rửa chân cho con bao giờ!” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Nếu Ta không rửa chân cho con, con không thuộc về Ta.” 9Si-môn Phi-e-rơ sốt sắng: “Thưa Chúa, đã rửa chân thì xin Chúa rửa luôn cả tay và gội đầu cho con nữa!” 10Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Ai đã tắm xong chỉ cần rửa chân là toàn thân sạch sẽ. Các con đã được sạch, nhưng không phải tất cả đều sạch đâu!” 11Vì Chúa Giê-xu biết rõ người phản Ngài. Đó là lý do Ngài nói: “Không phải tất cả đều sạch đâu.” 12Rửa chân cho môn đệ xong, Chúa mặc áo ngoài, ngồi vào bàn ăn và hỏi: “Các con có hiểu việc Ta vừa làm cho các con không? 13Các con gọi Ta bằng ‘Thầy,’ bằng ‘Chúa’ là đúng, vì đó là sự thật. 14Ta là Chúa và là Thầy mà rửa chân cho các con, thì các con cũng phải rửa chân cho nhau. 15Ta nêu gương để các con noi theo điều Ta làm. 16Ta quả quyết với các con, đầy tớ không cao trọng hơn chủ. Hay sứ giả không quan trọng hơn người sai phái mình. 17Bây giờ các con đã biết những điều này, các con phải thực hành mới được Đức Chúa Trời ban phước.”Chúa Giê-xu Nói Trước về Người Phản Ngài
18“Ta không nói về tất cả các con; Ta biết rõ từng người Ta lựa chọn. Nhưng để ứng nghiệm lời Thánh Kinh đã chép: ‘Người ăn bánh Ta trở mặt phản Ta.’ ▼ 19Nay Ta cho các con biết trước, để khi việc xảy đến, các con sẽ tin Ta là Đấng Mết-si-a. ▼ 20Ta quả quyết với các con, ai tiếp nhận sứ giả Ta là tiếp nhận Ta, và ai tiếp nhận Ta là tiếp nhận Cha, Đấng đã sai Ta.” 21Sau khi dạy những lời ấy, tâm hồn Chúa Giê-xu xúc động, Ngài tiết lộ: “Ta quả quyết với các con, một người trong các con sẽ phản Ta!” 22Các môn đệ hoang mang nhìn nhau không biết Ngài nói về ai. 23Thấy môn đệ Chúa Giê-xu yêu ngồi bên cạnh Ngài, 24Si-môn Phi-e-rơ ra dấu bảo bạn hỏi: “Chúa đang nói về ai?” 25Môn đệ ấy dựa sát vào ngực Chúa Giê-xu và hỏi: “Thưa Chúa, người đó là ai?” 26Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Là người sẽ lấy miếng bánh Ta sắp nhúng đây.” Chúa nhúng bánh rồi trao cho Giu-đa, con trai Si-môn Ích-ca-ri-ốt. 27Khi Giu-đa đã ăn bánh, quỷ Sa-tan liền nhập vào lòng. Chúa Giê-xu phán cùng Giu-đa: “Việc con làm, hãy làm nhanh đi.” 28Những người ngồi chung quanh không hiểu Chúa Giê-xu nói về việc gì. 29Giu-đa làm thủ quỹ, nên có người tưởng Chúa Giê-xu bảo Giu-đa đi mua sắm cho lễ Vượt Qua, hoặc đi cứu trợ người nghèo. 30Lấy miếng bánh xong, Giu-đa vội vã ra đi trong đêm tối.Chúa Giê-xu Báo Trước Việc Phi-e-rơ Chối Chúa
31Khi Giu-đa đi rồi, Chúa Giê-xu dạy: “Đã đến giờ Con Người được tôn vinh, Đức Chúa Trời cũng được rạng danh vì Con Ngài. 32Đã đến lúc Đức Chúa Trời cho Con Ngài vinh quang rực rỡ. Phải, Đức Chúa Trời sắp tôn vinh Con Ngài. 33Các con thân yêu! Ta còn ở với các con không bao lâu nữa. Các con sẽ tìm kiếm Ta, nhưng không thể đến nơi Ta đi, như lời Ta đã nói với người Do Thái. 34Ta cho các con một điều răn mới: Các con phải yêu nhau như Ta đã yêu các con. 35Các con có yêu nhau, mọi người mới biết các con là môn đệ Ta.” 36Si-môn Phi-e-rơ hỏi: “Thưa Chúa, Chúa đi đâu?” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Hiện nay con chưa theo Ta được, nhưng sau này con sẽ theo Ta.” 37Phi-e-rơ thắc mắc: “Thưa Chúa, tại sao con không thể theo Chúa ngay bây giờ? Con sẵn sàng hy sinh tính mạng vì Chúa.” 38Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Con hy sinh tính mạng vì Ta sao? Ta quả quyết với con, Phi-e-rơ—đêm nay trước khi gà gáy, con sẽ chối Ta ba lần.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
